The ECPYouth Board consists of six board members who concern themselves with the greater schemes of international political cooperation of young Christians. To support the board, Hepke Deelstra is employed as General Secretary for all administrative matters. Below you can find a brief introduction of our board and staff members.



Dimitri Bluashvili – Events


Dimitri Bluashvili (Georgia, 1995) is studying at Tbilisi State University, Faculty of Law. Dimitri is working as International Secretary for the Young Cristian Democrats of Georgia (YCD) as well as serving as its Board Member. He started as an activist for the party, joining a team of young and enthusiastic individuals who were building a network of young Christian politicians across the country. Later he joined the YCD International Secretariat to assist international relations team before and during the 2012 general elections. Dimitri continued to be actively involved in international as well as electoral affairs, which led to his election as an YCD board member and appointment as International Secretary in 2014. He joined the ECPYouth board for the first time in 2015.

Ardjan Boersma – Strategy


Ardjan Boersma (the Netherlands, 1993) is a Master student Political Culture and National Identities (Research) at Leiden University. In 2015 he graduated and received his Bachelor’s degree in History with honours. After being a member of the local youth council of his home town, Ardjan joined the International Committee of SGP Youth (Dutch Reformed Party) in December 2013. July 2015, Ardjan was elected as Member of the Board by the General Assembly of ECPYouth.

Lizzie Francis – Secretary


Lizzie Francis (United Kingdom, 1988) is a Consultant in the City of London. She has completed two masters in International Law and Social Research, and has gained experience in the political and legislative systems in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Nepal, as well as having worked in a human rights project for the World Health Organisation. Lizzie is a member of the Conservative Christian Fellowship in the UK, and has completed the Impact Course in Public Life and Leadership course with them.

Erik-Jan Hakvoort– President


Erik-Jan Hakvoort (the Netherlands, 1991) just graduated and recieved both a Master’s degree in political history as a Master’s degree in teaching at Utrecht University. He is a teacher at a Christian high school in Arnhem. From 2012 till 2016 he was respectively Political Secretary and President of PerspectieF, the youth-wing of the Dutch political party ChristenUnion. In the summer of 2016 he was elected Board Member of ECPYouth. He joined ECPYouth because he believes the organisation to be a necessary positive alternative to the EU-negativity surrounding themes like Brexit, financial crises and migration.

Inna Panchuk – Relations, Vice-president


Inna Panchuk (Ukraine, 1989) is originally from Kyiv Region, Ukraine. Following her graduation from Kyiv University of Tourism, Economics and Law in 2011, Inna has worked as International Affairs Manager in the Healthcare industry and in August 2013 was appointed as Head of International Programs Department. Since 2011 she has been a member of the International Secretariat of the Ukrainian Students’ Association (student organization of the Christian Democratic Union of Ukraine). In 2012, Inna joined the Christian Democratic Union of Youth as member of International Secretariat. In July 2013 she was elected as ECPYouth board member and Director of Events. In May 2014 she started to work as project and business development manager on few projects in South Africa. In  July 2015 Inna was reelected as ECPYouth board member and Director of Events.

Photo Gabriela

Gabriela Urbanova – Politics


Gabriela Urbanova (Slovakia, 1988) currently graduated and received the PhD. degree in Business management at the Comenius University in Bratislava. She has been teaching the subjects of International organisations and European intergration for 3 years. Since 15, Gabriela was leading activies for christian youth in Slovakia, withim them she co-coordinated a  project “Christians in politics” in years 2014-2015 aimed at increasing the general interest of Slovak Christians in a personal involvement in the society and politics. Professionaly after four years of experiences in marketing and business consultations in Vienna and Bratislava, she started to develop  experiences in the EU politics. Currently, Gabriela is employed as an assistant of a Slovak Member of the European Parliament in Brussels, where she is responsible for the analytics of the economic and employment policies. She joined the ECPYouth board in 2016.

Chapter 2.4.1 - Hepke Deelstra

Hepke Deelstra – General Secretary


Hepke Deelstra (The Netherlands, 1991) just finished a Master Social and Economic History ‘Migration and Global Interdependence’ at Leiden University, after accomplishing his Bachelor in History. He is founder of the PerspectieF-Leiden department. PerspectieF is the Youth department of the Dutch party ChristenUnie (Christian Union). From Augustus 2015 he will start to work as staff member for the ChristenUnie in the Provincial Council of Fryslân. Since March 2015 he has been appointed as General Secretary of the ECPYouth.
